Never forget, even for an instant, that the one and only reason anybody has for taking your gun away is to make you weaker than he is, so he can do something to you that you wouldn't allow him to do if you were equipped to prevent it. This goes for burglars, muggers, and rapists, and even more so for policemen, bureaucrats, and politicians.

My new favorite song

I saw this on the western rifle shooters blog & I have to say I'm down with the message & I LOVE THIS SONG!!! Good stuff

Here's the words so you can sing along

I keep a weather eye on the horizon, my back to the wall
I like to know who's coming through the door, that's all
It's the old army training kicking in
I'm not complaining, it's the world we live in

Blarney and Malarkey, they're a devious firm
They'll take you to the cleaners or let you burn
The help is breaking dishes in the kitchen - thanks a lot
We hired the worst dishwasher this place ever got
Come in below the radar, they want to spoil our fun
In the meantime
I'm cleaning my gun

Remember it got so cold ice froze up the tank
We lit a fire beneath her just so she would crank
I keep a weather eye on the horizon, tap the stormglass now and then
I've got a case of Old Damnation for when you get here, my friend
We can have ourselves a party before they come
In the meantime
I'm cleaning my gun

We had women and a mirror ball, we had a dee jay
used to eat pretty much all that came his way
Ever since the goons came in and took apart the place
I keep a tyre iron in the corner, just in case

I gave you a magic bullet on a little chain
to keep you safe from the chilly winds and out of the rain
We're gonna might need bullets should we get stuck
Any which way, we're going to need a little luck
You can still get gas in Heaven, and a drink in Kingdom Come
In the meantime
I'm cleaning my gun

A terrifying glimpse into America s future
During the boom years, no place in America boomed more than Las Vegas. But when the economy collapsed, Vegas fell hard. Laura Ling tours the wreckage of Sin City, from unemployed strippers and half-built, abandoned casino projects, to hospitals turning away cancer patients and ambulances, to one of the few remaining boom industries--evicting people.

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance

Barack Hussein Obama

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

Yes!

Song 2:
Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say "hooray!"

Hooray, Mr. President! You're number one!
The first black American to lead this great nation!

Corporations that support Gun control

National Organizations With Anti-Gun Policies

The following organizations have lent monetary, grassroots or some other type of direct support to anti-gun organizations. In many instances, these organizations lent their name in support of specific campaigns to pass anti-gun legislation such as the March 1995 HCI "Campaign to Protect Sane Gun Laws." Many of these organizations were listed as "Campaign Partners," for having pledged to fight any efforts to repeal the Brady Act and the Clinton "assault weapons" ban. All have officially endorsed anti-gun positions.

Ed Freeman

This is such an amazing story . . .

You’re a 19 year old kid. You’re critically wounded, and dying in the jungle in the Ia Drang Valley , 11-14-1965, LZ X-ray, Vietnam . Your infantry unit is outnumbered 8–1, and the enemy fire is so intense, from 100 or 200 yards away, that your own Infantry Commander has ordered the Medi-Vac helicopters to stop coming in.

You’re lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns, and you know you’re not getting out. Your family is half way around the world—12,000 miles away—and you’ll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day.

Then, over the machine gun noise, you faintly hear that sound of helicopter, and you look up to see an un-armed Huey, but it doesn't seem real, because no Medi-Vac markings are on it.

Ed Freeman is coming for you. He’s not Medi-Vac, so it’s not his job, but he’s flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire, after the Medi-Vacs were ordered not to come.

He’s coming anyway.

And he drops it in, and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 2 or 3 of you on board. Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire, to the doctors and nurses. And, he kept coming back…13 more times…and took about 30 of you and your buddies out, who would never have gotten out.

Medal of Honor Recipient, Ed Freeman, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the age of 80, in Boise, ID… May God rest his soul.

Medal of Honor Winner

Ed Freeman!

Since the Media didn't give him the coverage he deserves send this to every red blooded American you know.

A new Low in Louisiana Politics

I couldn't believe my eyes & ears when I saw this on the internet but yes Representative Barbara Norton of Shreveport has brought us to a new Low. She's the one who ushered rapper Hurricane Chris Dooley to the House floor to perform his big hit "Halle Berry (She's Fine)."
Oh my gosh, where to begin? First, I'll give those in the House the benefit of the doubt and assume they didn't have a clue as to what Hurricane Chris was rapping about (I sure didn't), and so that's why they didn't cut him and his clueless sponsor off at the knees right then and there. But it didn't take long for the rest of us and the rest of the civilized world to get hip to the words to this awful, degrading and despicable song which is now another dubious part of the Louisiana legislative record and Internet Hot List. . They are not for the faint of heart or anyone with a shred of intelligence. They feature the b word (two b words, actually), the a word, the t word, the p word, the s word of course the n word and lots more.

For Representative Norton, I bestow the i word. Irresponsible. She stood there like a proud mama while this young man embarrassed himself and his state. Both owe Ms. Berry, all women, and the people of Louisiana a formal apology.

To deliberately hijack our lawmakers' time to somehow honor this kid is an insult, especially to all the citizens of Louisiana, black, white and otherwise, who have legitimately done so many things really worthy of honor. IMHO she is a piece of Trash & should be thrown out of her office check out the video for yourself

No wonder we have the problems we do,they can't get Lawmaking straight but have time for this crap, when will this shit end,

screwing us a little at a time

It's come to my attention that the corporations are pinching us again.I use propane as a alternate fuel in emergency's,so It really pissed me off to read the following article.
Propane suppliers quietly reduce size of refills

Ed Andrieski / Associated Press
Retired lawyer Stuart Barr picks up a tank of propane at a Home Depot store in Denver. He was not aware that the volume of the gas in the tanks had changed. “It’s a price increase,” he said. “I’m a great believer in full disclosure. Give me the information.”
Associated Press
2:56 PM PDT, May 22, 2009

Backyard grillers may get a little steamed this holiday weekend when buying refilled propane tanks: They will be getting less fuel for their money than last Memorial Day.

When oil prices soared in 2008, propane suppliers quietly reduced by two pounds the amount of gas pumped into each 20-pound tank, saying they wanted to avoid raising prices.
Since then, propane prices have been cut in half as the price of oil has dropped. But smaller refills are still being sold nationwide by many dealers, and most buyers are unaware because the tank is the same size.

"It's a price increase," retired lawyer Stuart Barr said Friday as he swapped a tank at a Home Depot store in Denver. "I'm a great believer in full disclosure. Give me the information."

The problem, consumers say, is that no one tells them they're getting less propane. Companies have adopted similar practices in the packaging of coffee, sugar and laundry detergent.
"I'm not surprised," said Tammi Dorsey of Denver. Carrying a tank of propane from a store Friday, initially unaware that she got less this time.

For the past year, tank exchanges at retail stores have generally cost $20 to $25. For a few bucks less, consumers can take their tanks to some stores to get them refilled instead of exchanging them. Those refills usually contain the full amount of fuel allowed by law.

Until last year, Blue Rhino and Amerigas, two major suppliers, put 17 to 18 pounds of propane in each 20-pound tank. Tanks should not be filled completely for safety reasons.

About a year ago, that amount was cut to 15 pounds to save consumers a price hike, Blue Rhino spokesman Chris Hartley said.

"There are a number of companies in different industries across the country addressing product packaging, just because of the soaring costs," he said.

Last year, all energy costs increased sharply, as did the price of steel used in tanks. Crude prices soared past $100 per barrel at the start of 2008 and climbed toward $150 by July. Propane futures hit $1.95 per gallon in the same month.

Those prices have all fallen this year, which would suggest bigger profits for propane distributors.

Hartley would not say if there were plans to return propane refills to the same levels as before the 2008 price spikes, but he did say that energy markets remain volatile.

In the last year, propane futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange have dropped from about $1.73 per gallon to just above 71 cents. They have climbed 11 cents since January.

Retailers who offer propane say they have not increased the volume of fuel in each tank because propane companies have not reduced prices.

Home Depot, which offers propane tank exchanges, said cutting the amount of propane in 20-pound tanks was an industrywide measure.

There have been no customer complaints, spokeswoman Jean Niemi said.

But Jose Rivera of Denver did the math in his head and concluded that the extra money spent on propane could have helped pay for other cookout supplies.

"That's some steaks," he said.

Be sure to get your tanks refilled at a store that weighs the tanks,at least you are getting what you pay for.

ALCU BLOWS!!!

These Assholes need to have their ass's kicked for this. And the asshole that is offended needs to be in Iraq & maybe he would appreciate what's going on. Police state coming near you

well I must say I knew it was coming but I didn't think it would be so soon & also thought that the small town's wouldn't buy into it so quick. Here's a story I caught in the local newspaper this morning....

Man Detained for Displaying “Don’t Tread on Me” Bumper Sticker
Dr. Archie Jones May 06, 2009

Our friends at The Patriot Depot just received a call from Rosemarie in Ball, Louisiana alerting Patriot Depot that her brother-in-law was stopped by small town Louisiana police and detained by the roadside for half an hour. A background check was conducted to determine whether he was a member of an "extremist" group. Why? Her brother-in-law (name not disclosed for privacy) had purchased and displayed a conservative "Don't Tread on Me" bumper sticker on his car.
The bumper sticker is based on the famous flag designed by American Revolution era general and statesman Christopher Gadsden. The yellow flag featured a coiled diamondback rattlesnake ready to strike, with the slogan "Don't Tread on Me!" underneath it. Benjamin Franklin helped make the rattlesnake a symbol of Americans' reluctance to quarrel but vigilance and resolve in defense of their rights. By 1775 when Gadsden presented his flag to the commander-in-chief of the Navy, the rattlesnake was a symbol of the colonies and of their need to unite in defense of threats to their God-given and inherited rights. The flag and the bumper sticker symbolize American patriotism, the need to defend Americans' rights, and resistance to tyranny's threats to American liberty. Those threats included-and include-illegal taxation, profanation of Americans' rights, and violation of the fundamental principles of American law.
The notorious Department of Homeland Security memo, which was apparently based on the infamous Missouri State Police Report that described supporters of presidential candidates Bob Barr, Ron Paul, and Chuck Baldwin as "militia"-type potential extremists and potential terrorists, is not the first effort of leftist radicals to slander their political opponents as "extremists." Some observers have noted that similar "reports" emerged during the Clinton administration. But "liberals" and other leftists have been calling defenders of traditional American limited, constitutional government, free enterprise, and individual liberty "extremists" since at least the 1964 election.
The political left's attempts to establish a false equivalence between genuine left wing extremists and those who oppose the left's assault on our culture, law, and liberty is more than propaganda to fool the ignorant and manipulate public opinion. Combined with the power of government, it is an attempt to harass, intimidate, and silence all political opposition-and probably an attempt to demonize them as a prelude to governmental oppression and persecution. Keep in mind that the First Amendment states,
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Small town police misled by phony left wing "reports" are bad enough. Federal government agencies and their armed agents under the direction of leftist radicals are exponentially worse. They will tread on us. The time has come to let our voices be heard!

Well there you have it ,take it for what it's worth...

More work

I've been working my Butt off but getting something done every chance we get.I spent the day putting together the new pit, WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It took me 3 damm hours to assemble that thing. Then Bayougal kept on me to go get more mud for the garden so back to Wally world we went.40more bags.I would have gotten it from Home Depot but I would have had to load them on a hand truck & unload them on to the truck ,at Wally World they went directly into the truck.(I may look dumb but it's just a disguise) .Any way once we got back to the house & unloaded the mud it was gettin dark & I still needed to tend to the rabbits. But I needed FOOD. So I grilled up some smoked sausage & a couple of Rabbit legs. They came out nice & Juicy on my new grill.I Think I'll save em for lunch tomorrow.Fed the rabbits & now will chill & enjoy a cold one.

It doesn't look like much but believe me it was work.Hell I don't work that hard at my regular job,If I had to do this everyday I'd quit!! Well any way she will be putting the plants in the ground tomorrow so that part is over but I still need about 40 more bags of topsoil which I'll get the son to help me with this weekend.Well I gotta go get cleaned up & get some rest for my real job(paying) till next time.......

It's Bad you Know

It's getting bad as far as crime in the areas I go to everyday.I work at a high dollar condo on St Charles ave in New Orleans.Crime is bad in my Neighborhood . In a 1 square block area The 2 sandwich shops have been held up twice in the last 4 months. In broad daylight ,10am to 1pm. The 2 bars in the block have been jacked and all the patrons robbed as well. It sure ruins your Buzz when a couple of brothers walk in with AK's and say give it up.4 people were shot Sunday at a club right outside the back door of my building..I have been fortunate enough to not have been at these establishments when this went down. . Well I guess that's what you have to put up with when you work in the Murder capital of the USA. I Am dreading Mardi Gras , The thugs all come out of the projects to see if the can make some extra money & get toasted and are always running with a bad attitude. So I guess I can sum it up by saying stay alert,be aware of your surroundings & keep your faculties together & have a Safe Mardi Gras Season............

Making it together

I have been giving it serious thought to a alternate sight in the aftermath of a bad storm if my place is wiped out. I have been talking to a few friends who are starting to see the light about prepping. We all live in different areas. The likelihood of all of us getting wiped out are slim.We are separated by about 30 miles. Me being the most southern. We all bring different skills to the table that would be beneficial to one another.I think as this moves forward we will be in good shape. We have many things to work out-where to store supplies, what to get, but if we keep at it & don't run out of time I think we will be fine. I think that if more people thought this way we could certainly do away with this huge Nanny Government that has about ruined this Country.

Prep on All.......

The Lifestyle

The Lifestyle…..
Prepping for survival is definitely a lifestyle. You live it. There is always something to do. I made the decision about a year ago to raise rabbits for meat. In a disaster when everything’s down you need a meat source. But with that is a daily chore that has to be done.EVERYDAY,rain or shine. When I have litters that means twice a day. After 10 to 12 weeks it’s harvest time, more work. Skinning, butchering, vacuum sealing & labeling. I usually have at least 2 litters at a time with a total of 6 Breeder does. I sell a few to defray the cost of hay & feed. I keep my meat in a 12cu ft chest freezer. In a Grid down situation I have 2 alternate power sources. A 5500 watt generator that I can pretty much power up the house with & 2 large Tractor Trailer Batteries & 1500 watt inverter. I also have 4 15-gallon drums full of stabilized gas stashed for this. So I should be good for quit some time with proper gas management. I also add bargain buys of chicken, ground meat & pork. If I’m lucky I’ll have some deer meat also. I think this will sustain 3 people for a good while..well speaking of rabbits I need to go say hi to my girls so that’s it for now…..

Tea Party inWashington

I saw this post on the Florida Preppers Blog & thought all should see.I just picked up a box of 100 tea bags from Wally World,Anybody got some extra stamps?

This is a post from American Preppers Network. Lets all do this! If you send a letter with your tea bag I urge you to be respectful and polite as that is what our network is all about.
Email received from Pioneer Living
So long as we have an inauguration drawing this sort of crowd and not a protest about our government blowing $700 billion of our dollars so that The Pigmen of Wall Street can continue to rob our nation blind, then saddle us with the bill when their bets go bad, we will see no solution.
I cannot take credit for the idea floated on some forums, but I do like it.
It is time for We The People to send a strong message to Washington DC - no more. No more loading our children and grandchildren with debt. No more bailing out speculators and bankers who made bets they knew were unsafe at the time. No more bailing out people who came to Congress to demand the removal of leverage limits, got what they asked for, then blew themselves up with the very leverage they demanded to be able to use.
No more.
Therefore, on February 1st, which is more than enough time for Barack Obama to be seated in his chair in the West Wing, I am recommending an act of peaceful, lawful and yet unmistakable protest.
That is, to mail President Obama one teabag. Nothing dangerous, nothing illegal - just one teabag.
Send one to your Congressman and one to each Senator.
Later, when the weather is a bit warmer and fountains are running water (rather than frozen!) this sort of protest can be repeated with LOOSE tea in select cities.
But for now, let's start with the symbolism, to be repeated each and every time our government votes or intends to do something similarly stupid - which I presume will include Obama's "stimulus" package.
If we all mail our teabags on February 1st, it will send a strong message to Washington. Include a copy of Ticker’s related to the many bailouts (pick one!) or write your own letter condemning the fraud and abuse in our banking and financial system - with the teabag being your symbolic refusal to quietly pay for it.
Pass it around the blogs and email lists - its a bag of tea folks, and the obvious parallel to the Boston Tea Party of old should be instantly obvious to everyone who receives it.

First Blog

I never really considered being prepared at home until I went through Katrina. At the time I was the Facilities Director for a small hospice in New Orleans Louisiana. I am a building Engineer by trade but took this job to not only move up the management Ladder but I had a high regard for the hospice organizations after the help my family received when my Father was in the last stages of cancer, after that I thought of the organizations as a GODSEND, So I thought if I could help the community as well as make my living at it I wanted to give it a try. Well I’ve worked in hospitals before & didn’t like the politics that is usually involved, but this job seemed to be different. It was owned by a old gentleman who started one up after seeing the poor care his wife got when she was terminal & close to the end. Anyway to cut to the chase, when Katrina was coming as I’m getting ready to shut the place down & get out of Dodge I am notified by the Hospital Administrator that no one would be coming to transfer the Patients. I had to make a Big Decision, abandon them or bring my wife to the job & ride it out. My wife was not going to evacuate alone so she reluctantly came along. Well to make a long story short we were stuck on the roof of the building with minimal supplies for 3 days & lucked up and got to camp in the lobby of a hospital for another week before we could hitch a ride home and see if we had a house left.(just a tree sticking out of the roof) We didn’t get power restored for a month & had no preps at all .We made our minds up to never be in that position again. And that’s how our journey into prepping started……….
