Never forget, even for an instant, that the one and only reason anybody has for taking your gun away is to make you weaker than he is, so he can do something to you that you wouldn't allow him to do if you were equipped to prevent it. This goes for burglars, muggers, and rapists, and even more so for policemen, bureaucrats, and politicians.

Ammo

Damm,
Ammo is getting scarce in these parts,A buddy told me he went to wally world & they didn't have much of anything& a 3 box limit on what they did have.I just got 500 rounds of 7.62x39-$200. Got it for extra, a impulse buy I guess. No primers available from my usual source,Glad I have my stash, I will have to limit myself to meaningful practice sessions & not just wasteful shooting & maybe 1 match a month.
I sure am glad I'm not just starting to learn to shoot or I'd be in trouble,Hope everyone has what they need It will be costly to try & build up a stash now.Till next time......

  1. Same thing happened to me at my 'usual' ammo dump. Owner said three box limit, and I said 'good-- give me four patron's limit'. He looked at me and I told him plainly: You'll be getting the same amount of money so what's the difference?
He gave me the eleven boxes he had.
Also, I ordered some ammo from an on-line dealer...one case...went back twenty minutes later to buy another case, they were out. Guess I got the last 20 boxes there, too. (They arrived four days later, BTW.)
Honestly: when you think about it, what's the difference if you get the last box or the hundreth box? The dealer makes the same amount and no one can whine cuz they weren't there. Tell your friend to go buy the last and not worry about it.
Oh, yah- no primers here at all, or bullets. (Glad I have the moulds.) But, what good are bullets with no primers? Going to have to get the B-P out. Not to mention, powder's getting thin on his shelves, too.
